I haven't had a chance to watch the Rex Ryan press conference yet so I don't really have many comments on that at the moment. However, the one Jets note I do have is that Calvin Pace was able to report to the facility for the first time Monday morning since beginning his suspension in Week 1. This news should make Jets fans very happy and should scare opponents. This Rex Ryan defense has been missing one component in the first four games and that is a pass rusher who can pile up sacks. Pace will be turned loose on Chad Henne next week and I can't wait to see how he performs.
I'm going to deviate a little bit from the Jets here for the first time and go over the Yankees series with the Twins that starts tomorrow.
The Yankees got a break today as the Twins didn't finish their play-in game against the Tigers until close to 10 P.M. Eastern Time. This will mean the Twins will not arrive in New York and will arrive with a tired bullpen and lineup. The Yankees will start Sabathia tomorrow and he should put in a good effort against a tired Twins lineup. I see this being a fairly quick series because the Yankees are better in all facets of the game. Their pitching is far superior to the Twins as they have 3-4 starters who could be called "reliable". The lineup is also considerably better, especially with the Twins missing star slugger Justin Morneau. I predict that this will finally be the year that the Yankees will break the trend of getting ousted in the first round.
Prediction: Yankees- 3 Twins- 1
Series MVP: Mark Teixeira
Pitcher of the Series: CC Sabathia
